Admission informationBTEB curriculum framework
The four-year Diploma in Engineering runs over eight semesters, moving from shared engineering foundations to departmental specialization and a final semester of supervised industrial training.
Students build a strong foundation in engineering mathematics, physics, chemistry, technical drawing, communication skills, and introductory workshop/laboratory safety and tool handling.
NoteFoundation subjects in Semesters 1–3 are shared in structure across all six technologies, so students settle into laboratory discipline before departmental specialization begins.
Each department dives deep into discipline-specific engineering subjects, design exercises, instrumentation, and multi-hour weekly laboratory practicums.
TipKeep every laboratory logbook current: logbook documentation is part of practical assessment, not a formality collected at the end of the semester.
Final-semester students complete supervised industrial training at partner factories, IT firms, power utilities, construction sites, or service workshops to gain direct workplace experience before graduation.
WarningIndustrial training placement, project documentation and board registration deadlines are announced through the notice board — check it at the start of Semester 8.
